Episode #4: The Personal Calendar

Hey what’s up!

In today’s episode, we’ll be discussing the benefits of a personal calendar.

I don’t know about you, but life is stressful. Between work, family, friends, and all the events in between, there is a lot to keep track of. I never had a calendar until my first job out of college, and without one, I would be lost.

With my work calendar, I have a clear picture of my schedule which helps me juggle multiple commitments. My work calendar empowers me to plan efficiently and keep track of important tasks, meetings, and deadlines. By having a visual representation of my commitments, I can plan accordingly and navigate my days with ease, reducing my stress and allowing me to show up prepared and on-time for all of my engagements.

As I got older, I started to wonder why I didn’t have a calendar for my personal life. My work was a top priority for me, so I had a work calendar to keep track of important events and deadlines. Why wouldn’t I have a personal calendar if my family and friends are an even greater priority for me? Enter the Personal Calendar.

In a world filled with distractions and ever-increasing demands on our time, it is very easy to forget about the things that are most important to us; family, friends, exercise, personal time, and whatever else we choose to prioritize. A few years ago, as I saw myself getting busier and busier and forgetting about the things most important to me, I started a personal calendar to align my actions with my priorities, and be intentional with my time.

I now have a calendar which notifies me when to call my parents, visit my grandparents, reach out to friends, send my wife flowers, etc. My family and friends are my top priority, and with a personal calendar I have a peace of mind knowing I’m putting the ones I care about first, and making the most of the moments we have.

I encourage everyone to embrace the power of a personal calendar, and take control of what you prioritize the most!
