Episode #2: Why Everyone Should Read Yahoo
Hey what’s up!
In today’s episode, we will talk about something near and dear to my heart. Yahoo.
Whether you are a doctor, lawyer, work in finance, work at McDonald’s (love the golden arches btw), drive for Uber, or are a college student interviewing for jobs, you all have one thing in common. You will interact with a wide variety of people. People of different ages, different ethnicities, different religions, different incomes, and different backgrounds.
When you engage with people of different backgrounds, typically, you will try to find a topic that is relatable in order to build some sort of connection. These connections are powerful and beneficial for whether you are trying to find a new job, find a partner, or simply make new friends. This is why I suggest everyone read Yahoo.
I believe Yahoo is the best place to get a high level understanding and stay up-to-date on everything from entertainment to the stock market. Yahoo tells me who got the final rose on the bachelor, why P Diddy’s house was raided, as well as why NVIDIA stock rose after earnings. With a broad understanding of a variety of topics, I can talk to a 75 year old Wall Street veteran about finance, then turn around and talk to a nutritionist about Ozempic. Could I read the Wall Street Journal? Yes. Could I read Men’s Health? Yes. However, with Yahoo I can cover 5-10 different industries in a short period of time, all in one place.
Long story short, Yahoo helps me build more connections and be more relatable. When you are more relatable, people want to do business with you, date you, and in general, spend more time with you. With Yahoo, you will never run out of topics to talk about again.
I start every morning with Yahoo. Hope you will too!
*FYI this is NOT an ad for Yahoo ;)
