The Partner Newsletter

Hey what’s up!

As many of you know, I love people. Hanging with my existing friends, meeting new friends, or simply having an amazing conversation with someone on a flight that I will probably never meet again. People give me energy. I enjoy my time with other people because they all have stories. Stories about where they’ve been, and stories about where they’re going.

Over the course of thousands of conversations I’ve had with the people I’ve interacted with, for some reason, a lot of people ask me for advice. Whether it be about work, dating, fitness, or even what restaurant to go to for a special occasion, I find myself giving out a lot of advice. I do not have a six pack, I had a low GPA, and I got kicked off OpenTable (funny story), so why do people keep coming to me for advice? I have absolutely no idea. However, I do love giving advice, so I started to think.

Drum roll please…..I am starting a newsletter! It’s called “Partner”. Why? As I think about all the conversations I’ve had where people ask me for advice, it’s because they simply want a Partner. They want someone who’s going to listen, toss around ideas, give new perspectives, and be a Partner in whatever aspect of their life they are seeking help. Instead of limiting myself to giving advice on a one-on-one basis, I want to share with a community, the “Partner” community. What should we call those who subscribe to the “Partner” newsletter? I think we’ll call our community the “Partnership”.

This is my first email newsletter so this will be a bit of a test, but the plan is that every week I’m going to be sharing my advice on a variety of topics. From getting more interviews when looking for jobs, to building your online dating profile, to creating lasting friendships,  I’ll be your Partner through it all. I have no idea if anyone is going to find this useful, but I guess we’ll see!

I’ve thought about starting a newsletter for a long time now, so I’m finally getting started. I’m excited to be a Partner for you all, and will share my thoughts on topics that I feel are the most top of mind. If you are interested in a specific topic, please comment below and I would be happy to provide my views.
